314 Girder Bridge

314a.jpg

Production:  1945 - 1950

History
The 314 Girder Bridge is one of several classic prewar accessories to be produced in the postwar era. It's scale-like size and appearance has made this a favorite for many collectors. The 314 is a heavy bridge -- having a sheet metal base and die-cast size.

Although the 314 bridge is a somewhat common, its original box is difficult to locate. Most original boxes have not survived and those that have are usually in poor condition.

Features
The 314 Girder Bridge includes the following features: two die-cast painted gray sides with 'LIONEL' printed in black letters and a gray painted sheet metal base.

Additional Detail, Photos & Box Information
The girder bridge is 10" long and 4.5" wide.

Only Known Variation - Shown in the photo above - All 314s are painted grey with the 'Lionel' name in black letters.
