115 City Stop Station

Quantity:

Product Description

Production: 1946 - 1949

History
The 115 Lionel City Stop Station is a majestic-looking station and one of several pre-war Lionel products also produced during the postwar years. Although the size of this station is impressive, it is not built to scale and should actually be larger in order to be closer to scale. However, this station remains an extremely popular accessory for both collectors and operators.

This station includes Lionel's popular automatic 'stop' feature. When the station is connected to an insulated track section, it will automatically stop an engine on the insulated track for a brief period of time.

Features
The 115 Lionel City Station contains the following features: a stamped sheet-metal building predominately painted off-white with red accents, two functional exterior lights plus a single interior light. There is also a thermostatically controlled stop unit located in the interior of the station.

Additional Detail, Photos & Box Information
The approximate size of this station is 13.5" wide by 9.25" long and stands about 8.5" high. Additionally, original boxes contain a paper label indicating there is a 115 station on the interior, however the box part number is always stamped '113-1' on one side.

Only Known Variation - Shown in first photo above - All postwar 115 stations are stamped sheet metal painted off-white with red accents.
