- 163 Single Block Signal
Product Description
Production: 1961 - 1969
History
The 163 Single Block Signal is a realistic looking accessory and designed after a typical mainline signal seen throughout the United States in the 1960's. Its simple construction -- basically a pole with a single red and green light -- has made this an easy-to-use accessory requiring minimal room on a layout.
The 163 signal is identical to its predecessor the 353 Single Block Signal with the only change being a single target head on the 163 replaced the dual target head of the 353. Lastly, the 163 signal was available throughout the 1960's and is fairly common to locate.
Features
The 163 Single Block Signal contains the following features: beige plastic base, white pole and a black signal head. There is a single lens with one frosted light openings -- with the green and red light illuminated behind the frosted lens. Also included with this accessory was a 153C track activator.
