1960

As Lionel began a new decade, so did the theme of their trains. Traditional freight and work trains were replaced by space and military trains or unconventual (some might say comical) locomotives, freight cars and trackside accessories.

For 1960, rocket firing flatcars, box cars and locomotives were available as were flatcars with helicopters or submarines and even a quirky box car with a giraffe sticking out of the top. Lionelville was certainly changing!
