History
The 309 Yard Sign Set was produced for 10 years. Although this accessory had a long production run, there are no variations to the accessory. The set always included the following eight signs:
- W (whistle)
- RR Property Keep Out
- Resume Speed
- Yard Limit
- Stop
- Danger Do Not Trespass
- RR
- Railroad Crossing
Original boxes are generally faded on the exterior. Crisp, vibrant colored boxes are rare. Additionally, it's fairly common to have some yellowing or fading appearing on the white signs.
Features
Standard features on the 309 Yard Sign Set include: a metal base on each sign used to secure a white plastic sign with black lettering.
Original display-type inserts for the boxes are usually missing or damaged. A complete box insert will command a premium.
