347 Cannon Firing Range Set

For 1964, Lionel produced one of the rarest postwar Lionel accessories ever manufactured -- the # 347 Cannon Firing Range Set. This accessory was never included in a Lionel catalogued and produced specifically for Sears Roebuck. It was only shown in the 1964 Sears Christmas Wishbook (page 218) and included in the rare, one-year-only # 9820 Military Freightliner set for 1964.

The Cannon Firing Range Set did not include any new manufacturing components, but rather used parts (or slightly modified parts) from the # 448 Missile Firing Range set as well as the 6544 Missile Firing Trail Car.

The 347 Cannon Firing Range Set includes the following standard features: olive launching station, four wooden missiles painted silver and it own rare # 347-10 instruction sheet.

Only Known Variation - All 347 Cannon Firing Range Sets are molded in an olive color and included four simulated shells made from wood and painted silver.
