History
The 6002 New York Central gondola is a one-year-only-item from 1950 and included in several beginner sets. Although this gondola is a somewhat hard to locate, collector interest remains minimal.

Features
Standard features on the 6002 NYC gondola include: unpainted black body with white lettering, Scout style trucks and operating magnetic couplers. The 'N' in 'NYC' was always in the second panel, the number 6002 was underlined and it has two lines of technical data. The 6002 did not include barrels -- or anything -- as a load for the freight car.
