Product Description
Production: 1950
History
The 6007 has been classified as a Scout-type caboose by Lionel train collectors. During 1950, Lionel produced several Scout-type freight cars. These regular production freight cars had Scout style trucks but included a regular Lionel knuckle coupler, not a scout style coupler. After only a single year of production, the freight cars with Scout-type trucks were discontinued.
With production limited to only a single year, the 6007 caboose is a hard caboose to locate. Unfortunately, there is minimal interest in this caboose by the collecting community. Locating a nice and clean 6007 -- with its original box -- is a difficult task.
Features
Standard features of the 6007 caboose are sparce and include a molded red body with white lettering, scout style side bolsters and a single knuckle coupler. There are metal hand-railings on each end.
