History
The 6027 Alaska caboose was only manufactured for a single year: 1959. Lionel produced this caboose to celebrate Alaska as the latest state to join the United States of America in January 1959. Due to production being limited to a single year as well as having attractive exterior colors and graphics, this has become a popular caboose with both the collecting and operating community.
Features
The 6027 Alaska had limited details and included the following features: painted blue body with yellow lettering and Eskimo figure, AAR trucks with a single functional coupler. The caboose also included metal railings on each end.
