6464-515 Missouri, Kansas & Texas

Quantity:

Product Description

Production:  1957 & 1958

History
The 6464-515 Missouri, Kansas & Texas (Katy) freight car as well as the 6464-510 New York Central Pacemaker are two box cars from the ill-fated Girls' Set in 1957. The unusual paint scheme of pastel yellow body and blue sliding doors on the -515 Katy is the exact opposite color scheme of the -510 New York Central box car -- plus these color schemes are among the more colorful box cars in the series.

These two box cars are sought after by two different types of collectors; box car collectors will need these two cars to complete the 6464 series and those looking to build the Girls' Set will also need these two freight cars.

Features
The 6464-515 box car includes the following features: a unique pastel-yellow body with pastel-blue multi-block doors paint scheme plus black lettering, bar-end trucks with operating tab couplers and a single brakewheel.

Additional Detail, Photos & Box Information
The length of the 6464 style box car is approximately 10 1/2" long (coupler to coupler).

Only Known Variation - All 6464-515 Missouri, Kansas & Texas / Katy box cars are painted pastel-yellow with black lettering.
