Standard features of the 6562 include: unpainted body with various letter coloring, bar-end trucks with operating couplers and a set of four red canisters with white lettering

Additional Detail, Photos & Box Information
The 6562 is not a common gondola. Although it only lasted in the Lionel family for three years, there were three variations. The length of this gondola is approximately 10 1/2" long (coupler to coupler).

Black - Shown in the photo above - The black gondola has white lettering.

Red - The red gondola has white lettering.

Gray - The gray version is the only 6562 gondola to have two different colors available for its lettering. The more common lettering is maroon, however red lettered gondolas do exist. In either case, the gray gondola is a dificult item to locate, especially in collector condition.
