6810 Flatcar w/ Piggyback Van

History
The 6810 Flatcar with a single Piggyback Van was only available for a single year: 1958. This freight car used the common 6511 red flatcar mold that was popular on so many mid-1950's freight cars as as well as a single Cooper Jarrett van. Although the vans are common, the 6810 flatcar is far less common than collectors or operators realize and locating this flatcar will require some time and patience.

Features
The 6810 flatcar contains the following standard features: molded red flatcar with white lettering, AAR- trucks plus a single Cooper Jarret van. The couplers are always operating couplers and the van was secured to the flatcar with a single elastic band.

The length of this type of flatcar is approximately 11.25" long (coupler to coupler).

Only Known Variation - Shown in first photo above - This flatcar was always red with a single van.
