1523 Seaboard Diesel Work Train Set (1954)

History
This outfit was Lionel's premium 027 gauge set from 1954. Nicknamed the Gandy Dancer, Lionel choice of color and high play-valued freight cars has made this a very attractive and desirable outfit from the mid-1950's.

Experienced collectors will notice this set has several hard-to-find freight cars. They include the gray 6456 hopper, the red cab 6460 crane car and the 6419 work caboose with a single coupler on the front.
