3349 Turbo Missile Launcher

History
The 3349 Turbo Missile Firing Car is a very common item manufactured by Lionel in the early 1960's. It's inclusion in catalogued and uncatalogued sets has made this an easy item to acquire.

The 3349 is very similar to the 3309 Turbo Missile Launching Car. The only differences between the two is the 3349 includes a spare missile rack plus has two operating couplers versus two non-operating couplers on the 3309. Lastly, separate sale boxed examples of a 3349 are hard to find.

Features
The 3349 included two operating couplers, manual missile launcher, a spare missile rack and two missiles. The 3349 was manufactured with a molded red frame and did not include any lettering or number on the car.
