- 6019 Remote Uncoupling Track: 027 Gauge
Product Description
Production: 1948 - 1966
History
The 6019 Remote Control Uncoupling Track, produced from 1948 thru 1966, was a standard offering in most 027 train sets produced during those years. The versatility of a single section of track to uncouple railroad cars as well as unload operating freight cars was a valuable addition to every outfit. To this day, Lionel freight cars are still designed to function on a 6019 remote control section of track.
Due to its long production run, the 6019 is one of the most easily obtainable items for postwar collectors. There was an early run of nickel plated track in 1948. This silver-looking track is a bit hard-to-find, especially with the correct three-cities box and a properly dated 1948 instruction sheet.
Features
Standard features of the 6019 include: one section of remote control track with an electromagnetic center section, two shorter rails for unloading operating freight cars and a two-button controller.
