- 613 Union Pacific
Product Description
Production: 1958
History
The 613 Union Pacific NW2 Switcher was produced for only one year -- 1958 -- and is one of the rarest NW2 switchers produced by Lionel during the postwar era. The 613 was available as a separate sale item as well as well as being included in only one 027 gauge freight set.
It's unfortunate this diesel did not have a longer production run. Both collectors and operators seek out this diesel because of its colorful and attractive paint scheme and graphics.
Features
Standard features of the 613 Union Pacific switcher include: yellow and gray painted body with red lettering and side stripes, two-axle Magnetraction, die-cast trucks, three-position E-unit, illumination headlight and plastic non-operating couplers. The 613 shell is mounted to a black sheet-metal frame with black end-railings. Also included are a simulated gold bell and ornamental silver horn mounted on the shell.
