6434 Poultry Dispatch Stock Car

Quantity:

Product Description

Production:  1958 & 1959

History
The 6434 Poultry Dispatch car was introduced in 1958 and remained in their product line for two years. The success of this car lead to the creation of its operating companion, the 3434 Operating Poultry Dispatch car or more commonly known as the Chicken Sweeper car. Although the 6434 had a relatively short production life, it is a fairly easy car to obtain.

If you closely review the 6434 car you'll notice something unusual about the boxcar mold versus the plastic inserts containing the animals. The car mold has three levels yet the plastic simulated animals have four levels. Apparently there was some type of mix-up during the development and production phases at Lionel!

Features
The 6434 is a modified 6464 style box car. Standard features include: deep red painted shell with white lettering, gray sliding doors with black lettering, operating bar-end trucks, illumination plus a single brakewheel.

The interior of the car featured to plastic windows, one on each side of the car. These windows contained the simulated animals.
